Services

 As a full-time baby nurse, I provide the following:

*A pre-birth phone consultation (or in-person consultation, if available) to discuss the upcoming care plan and help the family make preparations to stock the nursery.

*24 hour support to the family for the first weeks or months at home (depending on the duration of my stay).

*Full night care and night-time feedings so that parents can get a good nights rest. My first priority is the care and comfort of the infant, and this care is especially important to maintain while Mom is getting her rest.

*  Maintaining the nursing or bottle feeding schedule as soon as the baby arrives home. This includes keeping a written record of feedings.

*  Helping mothers with feeding difficulties especially if the infant is not nursing successfully.

*  Helping parents deal with and resolve such issues as colic and a gassy baby.

   * Any and all requested help with the baby during the day.        



*Bathing the baby and keeping him or her clean between bath times. This will include diaper changes and maintaining fresh clothing and linens.

*Helping to maintain the family home through cleaning, laundry, cooking, and organizing the nursery.

*Helping, by request, with other children.

*Moral and informational support to parents. I am there to answer any questions that may arise. As first time parents often feel overwhelmed, I am on hand to make the transition into parenthood easier.
